Zen Shiatsu Therapy
Shiatsu originated in Japan and is an evolving form of bodywork drawing from both Eastern and Western approaches to the body and medicine. I work 'hands on' with the acupressure points and channels, increasing ease and flow through the whole body. It is a subtle and deep practice which works on all aspects of being; with the focus of each session directed by you. A course of treatment can bring relief from pain and discomfort, allowing more of yourself to be present through connection and movement of 'qi' - our life energy. It can be profoundly relaxing, restorative, awakening and reviving, leaving you with more clarity, balance and motivation. We work on a futon and you are asked to wear comfortable clothes. Sessions are 60-70 mins. You can read more About Zen Shiatsu & my blog What is Shiatsu? Book here for Bullingdon House in East Oxford on a Monday or email/text me for more options Questions welcome.

Holistic Acupressure
Holistic Acupressure works with the meridians and points in a similar way to acupuncture, but like Shiatsu we use our hands. It can be deeply relaxing and calming, or energising and enlivening, depending on what's wanted and needed. As a holistic practice it is underpinned by the idea that the body is always trying to heal itself; we are facilitating this process, giving some time, space and attention. The session is based on what you have told me about yourself, how your body responds, and a bit of what tends to feel good to all bodies. We work on a futon and you are asked to wear comfortable clothes. Sessions are 60-70mins. Intuitive Shiatsu - Hands on the Body
Intuitive Shiatsu means for me not looking directly through the lens and application of Zen Shiatsu. Simply hands on the body - listening to what is there, what might want to happen and allowing it to unfold. I find the Zen shiatsu theory incredibly accurate - and I also find that something can be freed up if we 'forget' our mapping and learning. So I wanted to name and offer this as an approach that you can choose if you feel called to explore this more intuitive way in. If you are willing, at points it will involve some dialogue.
